You should take part in business networking if you're interested in growing your business, building long term working relationships and finding companies that will likely be providing a service that your business would benefit from.

Firstly there's time for informal chat between guests and members before the event gets under way, ideal for coffee and a catch up. After this all guests and members will have 1 minute to explain what they do and what kind of customers they're looking for.

Next there is a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about anything they see fit to bring to the networking group, followed by a 1-minute learning point from another member. These members change every fortnight.

After this it's time for referrals, one-to-ones and testimonials.

A referral is where one member or guest knows someone who fits the profile of an 'ideal customer' of another member attending the event. These are valuable and due to the “word of mouth” nature of the Networking events, conversion from lead to customer is usually very high.

A one-to-one is where members or guests have a one-to-one meeting after the networking event. This can be for many reasons, however, the two main reasons are either Business A could use Business B's service or product, or Business A thinks there could be a synergistic relationship to be had that would benefit both businesses.

Testimonials will occur if a one-to-one or referral has been successful and someone has some positive feedback about the experience that they want to share with the group.

Business Cards, and lots of them! Also any promotional material/flyers etc are more than welcome.
