The Cambridgeshire branch of networking group Business for Breakfast came out in force for local medical charity, Magpas, at a recent breakfast meeting.
The event, hosted by Kathryn Fletcher, was held at the Royal Cambridge Hotel on the 17 May and brought together around 40 local organisations and non-member businesses in aid of the charity. Magpas is the only dedicated air ambulance with a doctor and paramedic on board in the UK, and with the success of the event, was presented with a donation of £960.
Antonia Brickell, Magpas’ communications manager, said: “It was a really impressive turnout, and it was very poignant as at least a third of the members sitting around the table had some experience with this cause, and shared some moving stories.
“On behalf of Magpas, I want to thank Kathryn for all her support and we more than appreciate the work she has done for us continuing to spread the word about the charity.”
The occasion also highlighted the launch of Cambridgeshire’s second BforB group on the 6 September, to be held in Abington Hall at Granta Park, which aims to reach the South of the county.
